Who we work with

A collaborative approach to healthcare

In order to successfully implement Your Care Connected across Birmingham, Sandwell and Solihull, we have had the pleasure of working with a number of other local and national organisations, some of which are listed below.

Organisations with whom we will be sharing information:

The sharing of relevant patient information through Your Care Connected is possible thanks to the following organisations and GP clinical system suppliers:

There have been a number of organisations involved in the development of Your Care Connected but with whom we do NOT share patient information. They can be seen below and we are grateful for their ongoing support:

Over the last year Birmingham Local Medical Committee has engaged with and advised the Your Care Connected programme board on behalf of Birmingham GP practices to ensure the programme fully takes on board the needs and concerns of practices as providers of care, advocates for their patient, and crucially, acknowledges their legal obligations as data controllers. In particular, the LMC has sought to ensure that all issues of Information Governance are fit for purpose and that the best possible technical solutions have been put in place in order to maximise the benefits and minimise any burdens on practices.

Birmingham LMC will continue to engage with the Your Care Connected programme, providing advice and guidance to both the programme board and to practices as the initiative moves forward, in order to ensure it continues to meet the needs of GPs, practices and patients, facilitating the provision of safer, better, and more joined-up care across our health economy”.

Executive Secretary, Birmingham Local Medical Committee
